At least 18 civilians died in the northern city of Aleppo in missile strikes launched by the Syrian airforce on Monday, Arabic satellite TV network Al-Arabiya quoted a UK-based monitor as saying.
Dozens of people were wounded and others were still trapped under rubble after the air raid in the city's eastern Al-Shaar district, Al-Arabiya cited the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights as saying.
A total of 38,199 airstrikes across Syria have killed 6,004 civilians, including 863 women, and 1,253 children, injured 32,000 and left tens of thousands homeless over the past 11 months, the watchdog said.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights charts the war and relies for its information on a network of activists and doctors inside Syria.
