To create new jobs, the government must keep investing in Italian companies that produce high-quality goods for export, foreign minister Luigi Di Maio said on Monday.
"We must keep investing to give Italian firms the opportunity to sell their 'Made in Italy' goods abroad in order to generate new jobs amid the transformation that is taking in Italy's economy," Di Maio said.
Di Maio was speaking at the annual Atreju meeting of young Italian conservatives in Rome. The event normally takes place in September but was postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
