A new Islamic State video shows the purported killing of two young men in the militants' northern Syrian stronghold of Raqqa, allegedly for spying on the militant group.

In the video, posted Monday to an IS-linked Facebook page, two young men in orange jumpsuits are tied to a tree and shot in the head at close range by masked gunmen.

Before they are killed, they identify themselves as 21-year-old Faysal Hussein Habibi and 20-year-old Bishr Abdul-Azim and say they received 400 dollars a month for filming IS-held areas in Syria and sending footage to a person outside Syria.

Also on Monday, IS executed a 17-year-old boy in the eastern Syrian city of Der-Ezzor then beheaded him with a sword for insulting 'Allah', the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitoring group reported

On Sunday, IS posted a video to Twitter apparently showing 20 Syrian soldiers being shot in the head by boy executioners inside the amphitheatre of the ancient city of Palmyra in central Syria, in front of a crowd of spectators.

IS reportedly carried out more than 200 executions, including of civilians, in and around Palmyra in the period when it captured the city in late May and has killed hundreds more since since it declared an Islamic caliphate in June 2014 with the city of Raqqa as its capital.
