Italy's embassy in Vienna was closed on Tuesday at the request of local authorities following the Islamist gun attacks in the Austrian capital that killed four people and injured 22, foreign ministry sources told Adnkronos.
A statement on the embassy's website said Tuesday's closure was "for security reasons following Monday evening's events."
Other embassies in the Austrian capital also remained closed on Tuesday after the attacks on six locations in the centre of Vienna bustling with people in bars and restaurants, close to the central synagogue.
