The government and child welfare foundation Terre des Hommes Italia have teamed up to give young Libyans medical treatment in the northwest city of Genoa and in Tunisia, Italy's foreign ministry tweeted.
"Ten brave young Libyans were welcomed at Tunis Hospital and the Gaslini Children's hospital in Italy, thanks to the Italian agency for development cooperation and Terre des Hommes Italia, with a foreign ministry funded programme," read the tweet.
"This allows them to live and fight disease and discomfort through hospitality, for a better future," added the tweet from the Italian embassy in Libya.
