Italy's foreign ministry on Friday gave the green light to an aid package worth over 125 million euros including 87 million euros to international organisations.
A total 28 million euros are earmarked for the Vaccine Alliance (Gavi), 13 million euros for the Covid-19 Fund and 24 million euros for cooperation projects in the Middle East, Asia and Europe.
The aid package was approved at the first Joint Development Cooperation Committee meeting, chaired by foreign minister Luigi Di Maio.
