Italy has sent congratulations to Lebanon's army, which on Monday marked its 77th anniversary.
"Congratulations to Lebanon on the 77th anniversary of the Army. A model of unity and integrity and relentless commitment in preserving Lebanon's values and security," tweeted Italy's embassy.
"An institution becoming more and more inclusive towards women," the tweet added.
Italy has over 1,000 troops deployed to the United Nations peacekeeping force in Lebanon, UNIFIL, which was led from 2018 until February this year by Italian general Stefano Del Col.
