Italy has an obbligation to help war-afflicted Ukraine, also by supplying it with all the arms it requires to defend itself against Russia's current offensive, Marina Sereni said on Friday.
"Italy must help the Ukrainians by giving them the weapons they request," Sereni told Adnkronos Live.
"The war has shifted and Ukraine's president (Volodymyr) Zelenksy and the government are asking for different types of arms because the war is now concentrated on the eastern front and the south and they need heavier weapons," Sereni went on.
"It's clear that the Ukrainians are defending their territory and are not attacking Russian soil," she underlined.
