A conference looking at how the rule of law and access to justice can nurture sustainable development help build peaceful and fairer societies was taking place at the foreign ministry in Rome on Tuesday, the ministry stated.
The foreign ministry was hosting the International Development Law Organization Partnership Forum 'Sustaining peace, sustainable deevelopment: the contribution of the rule of law', according to the statement.
Nawaf Al-Mahamel, the President of the Assembly of the Parties of IDLO, was slated to open the forum, which was also due to be addressed by Italy's foreign undersecretary of Benedetto Della Vedova, the statement said.
The opening session programme also includes an address by the president of IDLO and the Signing Ceremony of the new Parties adhering to IDLO's Establishment Agreement, the statement added.
