Italy and India have agreed to deepen their cooperation in the food processing, innovation and start-up sectors and to explore new trade opportunities in the textiles and leathers sectors, the foreign ministry said on Friday.
The accords were reached by foreign minister Luigi Di Maio and India's trade and industry minister Piyush Goyal at the India Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation in Rome - which they co-chaired - and are a further sign of both countries' commitment to consolidating and re-launching bi-lateral ties in all areas, the statement said.
