The Italian embassy is looking at new projects to help especially vulnerable communities in northern Lebanon's port city of Tripoli, the embassy tweeted on Monday.
"Visit of ambassador Nicoletta Bombardiere to Tripoli with the director of the Italian trade agency (ITA) in Beirut, Claudio Pasqualucci," read the tweet with a photo of their meeting with the city's mayor.
"In meeting with Mayor Riad Yamak, discussion on new humanitarian and socio-economic projects in assistance to vulnerable communities, to be supported by Italy in Tripoli."
