During its G20 presidency this year, Italy wants to strengthen multilateralism and boost international trade - both for which are key to sustainable global recovery from the Coravirus pandemic, foreign minister Luigi Di Maio said on Tuesday.
"Italy's priority during its presidency of the G20 this year - a crucial one for recovery - is to strengthen effective multilateralism, which enables the sustainable management of inclusive global goods such as health and climate," Di Maio said.
Di Maio was speaking at the launch of a new report on quality Italian exports issued by Italy's main private business lobby Confindustria.
"To this end, international trade plays a key role," Di Maio underlined.
