In phone talks with his Ukrainian counterpart, Dmytro Kuleba on Thursday, foreign minister Luigi Di Maio reaffirmed Italy's support for Ukraine's war-ravaged population.
"I was in touch with my colleague @DmytroKuleba," Di Maio tweeted.
"Reiterated Italy's support for the Ukrainian people. Ukrainian resistance is European resistance against a violent and dangerous advance by the Russian army," the tweet went on.
"Maximum effort to find peace and stop the terrible war that is causing suffering and death."
