The Italian foreign ministry's director Elisabetta Belloni will on Tuesday open the “Shaping the European Union’s future through differentiated integration,” meeting being held in Rome, the ministry said in a statement.
Nicoletta Pirozzi, head of Italian think-tank Istituto Affari Internazionali's EU, politics and institutions programme and Giovanni Grevi, chief of the Brussels-based European Policy Centre's Europe in the World programme will also address the meeting along with researchers from several European universities and think-tanks.
Meeting participants will take part in two panel discussions themed around the concept and policies of differentiated integration including security, migration and economic governance, according to the statement.
Remarks by IAI president Ferdinando Nelli Feroci and Armando Barucco, head of the Italian foreign ministry's analysis, planning and historical and diplomatic research unit will wrap up meeting, according to its draft programme.
