Italy will next week return to France a stolen mural painted by British street artist Banksy that pays tribute to the 90 victims of the Islamic State's 2015 terror attacks on the Bataclan theatre in Paris in 2015.
The work, which depicted a young female figure with a mournful expression was in January 2019 cut out of a theatre side-door it was painted on and was recovered in June this year at a farmhouse in Italy's central Abruzzo region.
Officials from the public prosecutor's office in L'Aquila and Italy's Carabinieri police will handover the work at a ceremony on Tuesday at the French embassy in Rome.
