Nations must step up efforts to combat the world food crisis stoked by Russia's 13-week-old assault on Ukraine, Italy's foreign minister Luigi Di Maio and US counterpart Antony Blinken agreed on Tuesday.
"I spoke to my colleague secretary of state Antony Blinken. We underlined our support for Ukraine and the need for increasing efforts on food security, which has been imperilled by Russia's invasion," Di Maio tweeted.
"Italy and the US continue to work together in a synergistic way on all the main international issues," the tweet added.
