How Italy and the United States can join forces to tackle climate change and the energy transition was the focus of talks in Rome Friday between premier Mario Draghi and US special presidential envoy John Kerry.
"The talks underlined the importance of close cooperation between Italy and the US to effectively take on the climate emergency and the challenge of decarbonisation in all multi-lateral forums starting with the G7 and the G20," said a statement from Draghi's office.
In order to grasp all the opportunities offered to the planet by the green transition, Italy-US teamwork will also be crucial at the United Nations COP26 climate summit taking place in Glasgow, Scotland, in November, the statement underlined.
