Italy on Monday praised the European Union's allocation of 70 million euros to help ensure the Western Balkans region gets timely access to Coronavirus vaccine doses.
"The European Commission has earmarked 70 million euros to aid the arrival of COVID-19 vaccine doses in the Western Balkans," tweeted foreign under-secretary Ivan Scalfarotto.
"Thank you (Enlargement) Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi for this crucial cooperation initiative with our neighbours across the Adriatic."
