The head of Libya's presidential council, Mohammed al-Menfi, on Tuesday held talks in Rome with premier Mario Draghi, the Italian government said in a statement.
Menfi was also due to meet with Italy's head of state Sergio Mattarella during his visit.
Menfi's trip to Italy comes on the eve of the second Berlin Conference on Libya, which is set to kick off on Wednesday. The trip also follows Libyan parliament speaker Aguila Saleh's two-day visit to Italy last week and premier Abdul Hamid Dbeibah's attendance at a business forum in Rome on 31 May.
