Withthe patronage of the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI), LUISS Business School, one of Italy's most renowned business schools, is organising the first MBA Sport Gamescompetitionon April 20-23, 2016, in Rome.

The MBA Sport Games is an initiative that brings together teams of MBA students from international business schools to compete in five different sports' categories: futsal, streetball, badminton, triathlon and relay swimming. The event is aiming to become a yearly appointment, growing both in number of participating business schools and sports involved.
The first edition will take place on April 20-23 in Rome, the beautiful Eternal City running for the venue of the 2024 Summer Olympics. Thanks to the support of the Italian National Olympic Committee, the participants can enjoy the privilege to do sports at the top-notch location, the "Giulio Onesti" High Performance Training Center.
Registration to the MBA Sport Games is open until March 1, 2016. To take part of the games each business school has to team up 13 students and a general coach. The teammates will face challenges, as some players will compete in different sports categories.
"Competition in sports teaches the students also to handle competition in the business world," said Professor Paolo Boccardelli, Dean of LUISS Business School at the MBA Sport Games presentation event on February 9. "It fosters team spirit, puts in play the capacity to create strategies, as well as tactics, and emphasises the importance of ethics."
In addition to the sports events, the games include a seminar on Sport Management at LUISS Business School and a closing ceremony to remember. The affordable participating fee per business school guarantees the whole team of 14 people a memorable trip to Rome with all on-site expenses covered: sports competitions, seminar, meals and accommodation.
