A man and his son were missing on Tuesday and a security guard drowned in his vehicle after flooding hit the northern city of Piacenza and surrounding area.
Firemen and a rescue helicopter on Tuesday resumed a search operation for Filippo Agnelli and his son Luigi, who went missing aboard their jeep when the river Nure burst its banks on Monday .
The man who drowned was security guard Luigi Albertelli, 56.
Rescue services have received over one hundred calls from inhabitants of the flood-hit area, especially around the village of Roncaglia, mainly requests for help with flooded basements and cellars.
