Italy's foreign minister Enzo Moavero was due to arrive in Palermo late on Monday for the opening of an international conference on stabilising Libya, Adnkronos has learned.
Moavero will arrive in Palermo in time for opening of the Libya conference at 7pm. He will head to the Sicilian capital from Brussels where he attended a meeting of the General Affairs Council.
Italy's premier Giuseppe Conte is slated to welcome the heads of delegations at the conference being held at Palermo's Villa Igea before chairing a mini-summit on Libyan security at an undisclosed location.
Conte arrived in Palermo earlier on Monday with Italy's deputy foreign minister Manuela Del Re.
