A Moroccan couple is seeking at least 500,000 euros damages from a hospital in northern Italy after bungling doctors partially castrated their young son during an operation to remove a tight foreskin, the family's lawyers said.
There are fears the six-year-old boy may be unable to have sex in the future due to the botched circumcision in June 2014 when surgeons accidentally removed the head of his penis and part his urethra.
The mishap occurred at a hospital in the city of Belluno in the Veneto region.
