Italy's economic outlook remains uncertain in the last three months of year and there are no signs that its sluggish economy will speed up, national statistics agency Istat said on Friday.
Istat give no forecast for the July-September period and said its leading indicator index "does not show prospects for acceleration of economic activity in the last months of the year".
"Uncertainty surrounds Italian economy, with slowdown in consumption and a significant increase in the purchasing power of households and an improving trend for employment," Istat said in its monthly bulletin.
Gross domestic product in the euro zone's third largest economy stagnated in the second quarter of the year, but most economists are expecting to see modest GDP growth in Italy's third quarter data due on 15 November.
