There are 150 Italian citizens still in Ukraine out of 2,000 who were based there before Russia launched its invasion in late February, Italy's foreign minister Luigi Di Maio said on Thursday.
"There were 2,000 Italians living in Ukraine at the start of the war. Now there are 150," Di Maio told public broadcaster RAI's 'Italian Stories' programme.
"These who are still there are people who want to stay in the country" Di Maio said.
