More than 100 Italians have returned to Italy from the US state of Florida aboard a special flight, the foreign ministry tweeted on Monday.
"Over 100 compatriots returned from Orlando yesterday aboard a special flight arranged by the foreign ministry's crisis unit. They included a number of young Italians who were stranded in Florida," said the tweet.
Italy has been working to bring home thousands of its citizens who were abroad when the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic began earlier this year, prompting states to close their borders and suspend international flights.
