Some 262 Italians returned home on Friday aboard flights from the United Kingdom, Belgium, Mauritania, Russia and Vietnam, the foreign ministry said in a statement.
The foreign ministry has arranged the repatriation of over 95,000 Italians since the Covid-19 pandemic began earlier this year, causing countries to close their borders and suspend international flights.
The repatriations from 119 countries took place in 1,036 operations, according to the foreign ministry.
