The Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Monaco has been formally launched. The focus of the Chamber is to foster commercial relationships between businesses in Poland, the Principality of Monaco and other countries in the Mediterranean region.
"With Poland integrating more deeply into the European Union, there is opportunity for investors and businesses in Monaco and the Mediterranean to forge new relationships with Polish partners and vice versa," said Mr. Wojciech Janowski, President of the Chamber. "Our job is to help facilitate those collaborations and assist businesses and investors to capitalize on the opportunities available," Janowski concluded.
The Chamber is intended to be a platform for cooperation between businesses in Poland, Monaco and the Mediterranean region. It offers a range of services, including advice for potential investors and strategic consulting for businesses seeking new opportunities in Poland and Monaco. It is also an advocate for the business interests of both regions.
Poland's economy is the sixth largest in the European Union and is growing at almost four per cent per year. The country's economy is highly diversified, encompassing heavy industries such as steel, high tech sectors such as pharmaceuticals and nanotechnology as well as service sectors. Major international trade partners include Mediterranean countries such as France and Italy. The Principality of Monaco has an estimated gross domestic product (GDP) of €4.2 billion and significant expertise in international banking, finance and investment sectors.
