Pope Francis will hold an audience with Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall at 5pm on 4 April, the Vatican said on Wednesday.
The audience will take place during a week-long European tour by the heir to the British throne and his wife to celebrate links between the UK and Romania, Italy, the Vatican and Austria.
The trip began on Wednesday in the Romanian capital of Bucharest and will concludes on 6 April in Vienna.
While in Italy, Charles and Camilla will visit the city of Amatrice, which was hit by an deadly earthquake in August last year. Camilla will also visit confiscated mafia villa in Naples that now houses a youth project.
During a visit to Florence, the royals will visit Associazione Progetto Arcobaleno, which helps immigrants and female victims of human trafficking learn new languages and forge new careers.
