Pope Francis will on Sunday visit a church in the working-class suburb of Ottavia on Rome's northeastern outskirts, meet parishioners and celebrate mass there.
Francis will arrive at the Santa Maddalena di Canossa church in Rome's Ottavia district at around 4pm on Sunday, where he will meet sick parishioners, church officials and catechism teachers, according to local reports.
The pontiff is due to celebrate mass at the church at 6pm, the reports said.
Francis is currently on a retreat in Ariccia outside Rome for six days of silent Lenten spiritual exercises that end on Friday.
The Pope's audiences in Rome this week including his Wednesday general audience in St Peter's Square have been cancelled.
