Saudi Arabia's foreign minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan al-Saud praised his country's "strong" ties with Italy after talks in Rome on Friday with foreign minister Luigi Di Maio.
"Had a good meeting today with the Italian Foreign Minister @luigidimaio in #Rome," Prince Faisal tweeted.
"We highlighted the strong Saudi-Italian relationship and discussed our countries’ role in maintaining security and stability in the region and the world," the tweet added.
