Academics and experts will take part in a Mediterranean and Middle East seminar next Thursday and Friday at the Italian parliament, along with Italy's president Paolo Gentiloni, other top Italian office-bearers and lawmakers from 35 countries, the Italian parliament said on Friday.
Jihadist terrorism, immigration, and the crises in Syria, Libya and elsewhere in the Middle East are among the experts' and academics' fields of expertise the parliament said.
Seminar speakers will include Gentiloni, Senate president Pietro Grasso, lower house speaker Laura Boldrini, foreign minister Angelino Alfano, interior minister Marco Minniti and defence minister Roberta Pinotti, the parliament added.
