Italy's lower house of parliament's deputy speaker, Ettore Rosato, has praised the truce in Libya and a pledge by world leaders at talks in Berlin on Sunday to stop supplying arms to the country's warring sides.
"The accord reached (earlier in January) in Libya on a ceasefire and a halt to the supplying of weapons is good," Rosato tweeted on Monday.
"The truce agreed between (eastern warlord Khalifa) Haftar and premier of the internationally recognised government in Tripoli Fayez) al-Sarraj makes Europe more united and able to speak with a single voice."
