Ways to kick-start the stalled Middle East peace process and halt further violence in the region were at the centre of talks in Rome on Wednesday between Italy's deputy foreign minister Marina Sereni and Israeli and Italian non-government organisations.
"@MarinaSereni meets representatives of Israeli and Palestinian civil society visiting Italy. Talks on how to prevent further escalation of violence in the Middle East and relaunch the peace process on the basis of the two-state solution," the foreign ministry tweeted.
