A teacher has been sacked from a technical high school in northeast Italy for sending sexually explict text messages to pupils, local news site CorriereAdriatico.it reported on Tuesday.
The headmistresss of the "Musatti" high school in Dolo, near Venice called in police after pupils showed the text messages to other teachers, CorriereAdriatico.it said.
Also in northeast Italy on Tuesday, a 60-year-old nursery teacher was suspended for five months from a kindergarten in the city of Vicenza for bullying pre-schoolers aged three to five.
The woman's "constantly authoritarian and violent behaviour" towards her charges included spitting in one boy's face "to teach him", causing him "prolonged, acute distress", according to police.
