The world will not give in to terrorism, Italy's prime minister Matteo Renzi said on Wednesday during a visit to Kenya.
"We will never bend to the terrorists' will and will never give them the chance to deny us a better future," Renzi said..
We will do our best to live in a better world, and our response will be strong and decisive."
He was addressing students at the University of Nairobi after a visit to Ethiopia - the first by an Italian prime minister.
"When they attack a university, they attack us all, " Renzi said.
He was referring to the attack in April on a mostly Christian university in the eastern Kenyan town of Garissa by the al-Qaeda aligned al-Shabab group in which 147 people died.
