A 6.1 magnitude earthquake on the Richter Scale was recorded in northern Chile with an epicenter near 15 kilometers southeast of Fray Jorge Park, in the Coquimbo region. This was announced by the national seismological center. The tremors were also felt in Argentina, in the province of the Andes mountain range.
