South Korea has approved a law banning the launch of balloons in no-fly zones, where overflights are prohibited. This was announced today by Seoul's unification ministry. The measure is intended to curb activists who use balloons to send anti-Pyongyang leaflets across the border.
"An amendment to the Aviation Safety Act, which prohibits the flight of all unmanned free balloons in no-fly zones, was approved in a plenary session of the National Assembly yesterday," according to a statement sent to AFP.
