'Pet TV' is entirely designed, from colors to audio, to make animals feel good
It's called Pet TV. 24/7 streaming TV for dogs and cats. Conceived in China by tech giant Tencent to 'fill' the days of four-legged friends when their owners are away from home. And to keep them glued to the screen, there are images of dogs walking in the neighborhood, nature, all 'pet friendly'. "A 24-hour happiness platform designed for your four-legged friends," is the description in a Tencent Video We Chat post. And the guarantee: everything is designed for man's best friends, from colors to audio, with a detail for each breed.
"These are all contents for dogs, when will the program for cats arrive?" asked a user on the PetTV page, officially launched last weekend. It is available for Tencent Video subscribers, according to market research which shows that 66% of dog owners leave the TV on when they are not home to 'keep company' with their puppies. And Pet TV will also leverage content from DogTV, the world's first channel for pets, launched in the USA.
