A judge in Rome has ordered a HIV-positive 32-year-old man to stand trial for knowingly infecting at least six female sexual partners with the HIV virus as well as 37 other people indirectly.
A child fathered by Valentino Talluto was diagnosed with HIV and encephalopathy, according to prosecutors.
Talluto's trial will begin on 2 March. He is charged with deliberately spreading infection and with grievous bodily harm.
