Police on Monday said they had arrested a 28-year-old Moroccan for acts against public decency after he sunbathed naked in the Sardinian capital, Cagliari, ignoring requests by members of the public to cover up.
Police said the Moroccan risked being attacked by beach-goers and passers-by as he flaunted his nudity lying on a bench at Cagliari's Marina Piccola harbour on Sunday.
The Moroccan, described as "arrogant and provocative" had been living in a migrant centre in the nearby town of Villasor since he arrived in Cagliari two months ago by boat, police said.
