Pope Francis on Tuesday called on Catholics to adopt a non-violent approach to life in a message on Twitter.
"May non-violence become the hallmark of our decisions, our relationships and our actions," Francis tweeted.
A day earlier, the 80-year-old pontiff tweeted "heartfelt wishes of peace to the world's peoples and nations."
His nine-language @pontifex account has more than 30 million followers.
