The whole of humanity has an permanent responsibility to seek peace, Pope Francis tweeted on Monday, calling the search "an open-ended task".
"The search for peace is an open-ended task, a responsibility that never ends and that demands the commitment of everyone," read the tweet.
His nine-language @pontifex account on Twitter has some 34 million followers, according to Twitter-tracking group Twiplomacy.
