Pope Francis on Wednesday tweeted his admiration for grandparents, praising the "important" social contribution they make to families worldwide.
"How important grandparents are for family life, for passing on the human and religious heritage so essential for each and every society," read the tweet.
His nine-language @pontifex account on Twitter has over 30 million followers.
