A British couple detained in Iran since January 2025 has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for espionage. The family announced this. Lindsay and Craig Foreman were arrested while crossing the country by motorcycle, as they were circumnavigating the globe, and have always denied Tehran's espionage charges.
"My parents were sentenced to 10 years in prison after a trial that lasted only three hours and in which they were not allowed to present any defense," said their son Joe Bennett in a statement, adding that relatives were "deeply concerned."
