The cabinet on Thursday approved a bill authorising the ratification of an agreement between Italy and Libya to prevent double taxation, the foreign ministry said in a statement.
"This is a concrete follow-up - strongly advocated by (foreign minister Luigi) Di Maio - to his and premier Mario Draghi's recent visit to Libya," the statement said.
The accord, which is also strongly supported by Libya, will be a key instrument to boost bilateral economic ties and help businesses following the swearing-in last month of a unified interim government, the statement concluded.
