Europe must be strong, show solidarity and look to the future, coronavirus-ravaged Italy's foreign minister Luigi Di Maio told German counterpart Heiko Maas Monday in a phonecall that underlined the solid friendship between their countries, foreign ministry sources said.
Di Maio Maas also agreed to work together closely on the main foreign policy issues facing the European Union during Germany's upcoming presidency of the bloc and Italy's presidency of the G20, according to the sources.
