Italy's foreign minister Luigi Di Maio is talking part in the high-profile Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue 2021 meeting this week - a leading international forum for key stakeholders of the energy sector.
Taking place on Wednesday and Thursday, it is part of global efforts to achieve climate neutrality by 2050. Now in its seventh year, the BETD brings together high-level policymakers and representatives from the business sector, industry, the scientific community and civil society.
Over 2,000 participants from more than 90 countries, 50 foreign and energy ministers and state secretaries, and over 100 high-level speakers are slated to attend the meeting, according to the BETD website.
