Multilateralism is a cornerstone of Italy's foreign policy and is crucial in countering world problems, Italy's foreign ministry said in a statement to mark the International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace.
"Only through dialogue and cooperation can the international Community find shared solutions and respond effectively to global challenges such as Covid-19," the statement said.
The novel coranavirus Covid-19 pandemic has infected over 2.7 people around the world and killed over 195,000 people including nearly 26,000 in Italy
