Italy's embassy in Georgia on Monday flew its flags at half mast to mourn the nine people - including three children - who died when an apartment block in Batumi collapsed last week.
"The Italian Embassy’s flags fly at half mast today in memory of the 9 victims of the collapse of a residential building in Batumi," the embassy tweeted.
"In wishing a speedy recovery to those injured, we express our condolences for this tragic loss and our closeness to the families of the victims," the tweet went on.
Emergency workers were able to pull one man out alive from the rubble of the 12-apartment building on Saturday after it collapsed on Friday. The man is reported to be in intensive care in a critical condition.
The Georgian government declared Monday a national day of mourning.
